Wild Haskap
The berry the world hasn't found yet.
Tart up front, sweet underneath. Like a blueberry crossed with a tart cherry, with a depth that's hard to place until you try it.
That color is anthocyanins, the pigments behind haskap's reputation. Our latest harvest tested at 21,700 mg per kilo, about 1,085 mg in every pouch, alongside 24,701 mg of polyphenols per kilo. Each pouch is an excellent source of vitamins E and B6, and a good source of vitamin C, fiber and potassium. In a published study, Aurora haskap, the variety we grow, carried up to 4.8 times the anthocyanins of highbush blueberries. Two peer-reviewed human trials have studied haskap: one found better recall, the other better endurance. The studies are on our Science page.
One ingredient. One family farm in Quebec. Picked ripe, frozen on site, and freeze-dried 15 minutes away at low temperature, so nothing is cooked out.
Eat it straight from the pouch, or add it to yogurt, oatmeal and smoothies.
